Reno's (& Jack's) 2006 Buckskin Filly
|
First of all, I want to thank John Bearman for the breeding
of this extraordinary filly. I've never known a horse like
her before. You can almost see the wheels turnin in her head
when she's faced with something new. She'll stand for baths,
feet trimmings, and will even allow my boyfriend to crawl
all over her. She's the best I've ever known, and am glad
she came up to Alaska to be horse #1 at the Crooked Totem
Ranch. Thank you John, give Jack a handful of sweet feed for
me and tell him to keep up the good work!

Update 7/05
I also started riding Nova!! (Photo's
below) I rode again tonight... he's awesome! I
think this was my 4th time on him and he's pretty much figured
out that when I squeeze it means go and he'll whoa and back
and everything! He's learning so quick! We've even jogged
a couple times! He never even gave any of it a second though...just
takes everything new in stride, as I expected because that's
how he's been since I got him.

Hi John & Trish! Here are a few pictures from
our first show. (Above) He did so great! I couldn't be happier.
I went just to get him out and about and he was an angel.
The judge even told me how impressed she was. He won the Open
colts & Fillies class, he was the youngest entry and we got
4th in showmanship out of a huge class of 17 or so.The show
we went to was the Maine State Hippology Show (a fundraiser
for state 4-H).Thanks alot for a super little guy! I'll keep
you posted! (10-27-03)

Just wanted to get you updated pictures of Nova, he's changed
alot and is actually broke! Everyone loves him, he's still
doing awesome and has the best attitude of any horse in my
barn, even though he's a stallion. He's also easily the most
trainable horse I've ever had. I just love him!
